Technip’s main business activities relate to fossil energies (oil and gas), while the sustainable development of these resources is one of the key challenges facing humanity. In this demanding context, Technip offers its clients technological solutions that optimize natural resources, improve energy efficiency, respect the environment and reduce green house gas emissions.

In the execution of the projects undertaken on behalf of its clients, as in its internal operations, Technip strives to achieve the highest possible level of performance in all areas of sustainable development, and this in relation to all of its stakeholders.

Démarche

Technip’s commitment to sustainable development took form in 2001 with the drafting of the Group’s Values Charter and the creation of its Ethics Committee.

Pacte mondial In 2003, the Group became a member of the United Nations Global Compact. Launched on the initiative of the U.N. General Secretary, Mr. Kofi Annan, the Global Compact unites companies and United Nations organisms around ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment and anti-corruption.
Osam Since September 2003, Technip has been selected as part of the Dow Jones World and European Sustainability Indexes. In the “Oil Services and Equipment” industrial sector of the DJSI, Technip continues to hold the leading position, having achieved the best performances in terms of sustainable development.

In 2004, a Sustainable Development Committee was established to coordinate the approach within the Group.

In drafting its Annual and Sustainable Development Report, Technip complies with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, the most widely-used reference in non-financial reporting. In 2008, the Group chose to have the conformity of its approach verified by the GRI.
